A popular and easy to keep shoaling fish for the marine aquarium. Best kept in shoals of 10+. In smaller shoals the dominant male may bully or even kill smaller fish. keeping them in groups of 10+ solves this problem. Although they can be kept in tanks as small as 100 litres, they are far more suited to being kept in shoals of 20-40 in 500 litre to 1,000 litre tanks.

SIZE

Typically shipped at around 1”. May reach 2”, large males may reach close to 3”.

COMPATIBILITY

Reef safe. Best kept in large groups. As with any small fish, large predatory fish may try to eat them.
