Not all hermit crabs like all shells.

Different species of hermit crabs have different shaped bodies. Whilst most hermit crabs are happy in almost any type of shell, some need specific shapes to fit them. To make this easy just pick the pack that matches your species of hermit crab. If you’re not sure which hermit crabs you have and what shells they will want, simply pick a pack containing shells the same shape as what your hermit crab is using already. If you hermit crab is quite big then choose a pack with large or large & XL shells in it. Or, for an even easier decision simply choose a variety pack.
