Zebra moray eel (Gymnomuraena zebra).

Zebra morays are a medium sized moray eel species. They are a good choice of moray for those new to keeping eels, as they are fairly docile, and get on well with almost all other medium and large fish. With all eels an escape proof tight fitting lid is essential. Moray eels may bite, so do not hand feed, and keep hands a safe distance from the Moray at all times.

SIZE

May grow up to 48”, exceptionally large specimens may reach 60”.

COMPATIBILITY

Safe with all corals. Will eat most inverts including: crabs, snails, shrimps, urchins, snails, and shellfish. Usually ok with starfish. May eat small/medium fish, but, usually safe with fish. All Morays are capable of inflicting a bite if threatened or starving.
