💎VERY RARE💎 Group of FIVE Coral beauties.

Very rare!

A very rare opportunity to get a group of five Coral beauties.

Why are females Dwarf angels so hard to find?

We often get pairs, but, a group of five is a very rare thing indeed. Most dwarf angels can change sex one way only from female to male. They are all born female and the largest in a group becomes the dominant male. Because most shippers, wholesalers and shops keep Coral beauties singly, and Coral beauty (or other dwarf angel) kept on it’s own for as little as 48 hours will begin changing to male. Once this has begun it cannot be stopped or reversed, and by day 5 they are fully male. So by the time they are caught and shipped to the UK they are all males nearly every time. Making females very hard to come by.

Pairs of Coral beauties, and harems.

When we get a female we pair them up and sell them in pairs, but, it is very rare to get even 1 in 16 arrive female. Having two females arrive at once is even rarer, so trios are very highly sought after. A group of 5 Coral beauties is unprecedented for us, and the only time in 9 years we have ever had a group of Coral beauties more than 4.

James says:

Groups of some Dwarf angels such as Bicolor angels (Centropyge bicolor) are easy to get beause they shoal in the wild, but, with most other dwarf angels it is extremely rare for us to be able to offer more than singles, or the occasional pair. A group of five is a truly rare thing!
