This is a great game and very entertaining as you see possum hunters going through the emotional rollercoaster of determination, curiousity, disappointment, and then sucess! It's lovely seeing so many Dads pleased little faces.

Attention all Children.

If your Dad is a Possum hunter for the day then please keep them supervised. Some Dads get carried away and you may need to calm them down. If your Dad is struggling to find the Possum on his own, it is ok to give him clues.

After many weeks of insisting that I can see Possums hiding in the thatch at night, ad no one believing me, I finally capture one on video in a clear shot in bright daylight.

No one believed they were there except me. However I finally capture one on film and this is witnessed by Peter too!

As you can see Peter was rather less excited about this than me!

The Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginiana), commonly known as the North American opossum, is the only opossum found north of Mexico, with its range additionally extending south into Central America. Its range makes it both the northernmost opossum and the northernmost marsupial in the world. In the United States, the animal is typically referred to simply as a possum ('possum) or an opossum. It is a solitary and nocturnal animal about the size of a domestic cat, and a successful opportunist.

Opossums are familiar to many North Americans as they frequently inhabit settled areas due to the associated proximity to food sources, notably trash cans, as well as pet food, compost piles, gardens, rodents, etc. Their slow and nocturnal nature, and their attraction to roadside carrion, puts them in danger of becoming roadkill.
