New WYSIWYG inverts - the weird and the wonderful!

New WYSIWYG inverts.

Something very much for the fans of the weird and wonderful! Only 1 available of each of these.

Giant Turbo snail

Giant Turbo snail - this grazer is already more than 2" across, and this species can reach 4"+ across!

Thorny oyster

Thorny oyster - this fairly easy to keep filter feeder is 3"-4" across, and can in time reach nearly a foot across. The large spikes are pretty sci-fi, and they can freakily jet around the aquarium too from time to time.

Hammer oyster

Hammer oyster - A real rarity. This one is 5"-6" across, again an easy to keep filter feeder, we've had this actual specimen since May. You may already know I'm a huge fan of weird and wonderful inverts, and even so, this is the only one we have ever had! A really rare invert indeed!

Care advice

Both oysters require no special care in established systems. Avoid housing with species that predate on shellfish (Puffers, Triggers, large wrasses, some Morays etc), fine with other reef fish. Both oysters help reduce nitrates in the home aquarium.

We recommend a minimum tank size of 200 litres really for any of these 3 inverts.
