This is the bit at the bottom of most of our web pages. I put in place new graphics to make it more noticeable, because it contains some useful stuff in there, and also answers many of our most common queries.

By making The Sump more visible and easier to find and use, means you may find out what you want to know more easily, and reduces the number of queries I get a bit, saving some time each week too.

On most pages on our website you can get to The Sump simply by scrolling all the way down to the bottom of that page.

Hi everyone,

I have been somewhat slowed up this week by vast amounts of admin, so although at this point (Sunday afternoon) I’ve worked 110 hours this week, I still have another 18 hours of jobs on my list. It’s been a long week!

The good news is that although I haven’t had surgery on my arm yet (scheduled for 7th July), the trapped nerve has mostly freed itself through doing lots and lots of physio. Mostly whilst watching Netflix in the few hours a day that I’m not working, asleep or out with Tik Tok (my dog). Although my right arm still can’t lift much I can now type at 90-120 words per minute, and drive. As 3/4 of my working is typing and driving (mostly the only time I’m not typing is whilst I’m driving lol), this does mean things are almost back to normal.

I am behind on emails and messages still, but, I have got the backlog down from 1,200 unread emails/texts/chat windows last Sunday to just 300, so I am getting through it.

Everyone with a current order will be individually emailed this week with an update, and it looks like we are still pretty much on schedule to get almost all June deliveries out in June, and July deliveries in July, and finally be completely up to date by 3rd or 4th week in July. Yay! Finally!

If you have requested a refund please note refunds can take up to 28 days, the key bit there is up to, sometimes they only take 3-10 days, sometimes they take longer. It seems that one of the reasons that our refunds had taken longer than other businesses was to do with our bank being Stripe which are based in Australia. This might seem odd, but, bear in mind it’s not that unusual these days as our new payment processor PayPal is based in Luxembourg, our website is on Squarespace which is owned by Google and based in California, etc.

It would seem refunds were being delayed it seems by UK banks upon receiving the funds were holding them before converting them to GDP to try and gain on the exchange rates. We have now changed from Stripe to PayPal to handle all our payments, and our account with them is in UK Sterling, rather than US Dollars, which stops this problem going forwards.

I will also be individually emailing anyone with a pending refund this week too.

Please do wait for me to email you, because if 400+ people send me an email, that will use up 10-20 hours of my time, which will then give me less time to get orders out etc.

Keep an eye out for my email this week about your order. They can sometimes end up in spam/junk folders. If you add my email address (jamesgoodchild@live.com) to your address book, then this usually stops that happening.
