Dinar dottyback (Pictichromis dinar, discovered 2009).

Please note these are Dinar dottybacks, not the much more commonly seen Royal dottyback (Pictichromis pacagnallae). Dinar dottybacks were only named in 2009. On a true Dinar dottyback the pink curves backwards on the belly of the fish, and their is a feint red line between the pink and yellow areas (see photo). Dinar dottybacks are smaller and less aggressive than many other dottybacks and the similar looking Royal gramma.

SIZE

These specimens are around 1” and may reach 2” approx.

COMPATIBILITY

Safe with all corals. Keep only 1 Dottyback/gramma per tank. Recommended tanks size 100 litres plus. Some small reef fish can jump from an open topped aquarium, we recommend using a tight fitting lid with no gaps.
