This is one of the larger species of Dottybacks, and he has the attitude to back up those fearsome jaws. This species is fine with fish that are larger than him, but, woe betide any smaller fish that encroach on his domain. A fantastically colourful fish that is bursting with character.

Typically 1” to 3”, maximum size up to 4”.

Can be aggressive towards smaller fish, particularly other rock dwelling species. This is less of a problem in larger aquariums. Best housed only with fish that are larger than it.
