Dalmatian Cerith snails are grazing and scavenging snails. You should have a minimum of 1 snail per 10 litres of tank volume, and half of those snails should be grazing snails such as Cerith snails . Cerith snails are completely reef safe, and do an excellent job of eating algae. This saves you time, and helps maintain stable water quality.

COMPATIBILITY

Most typical reef fish are safe with most inverts, just drop us a message if you’re unsure. All of our inverts are reef safe unless specifically marked as “NOT REEF SAFE”. However, bear in mind that reef safe means they are ok with corals, but, may not be with all other fish and invert species. Some fish may harass or eat inverts. Some corals and anemones may also eat inverts, depending on species.

ACCLIMATISING INVERTS
.
Inverts are much more sensitive to salinity changes, especially when being moved. Before beginning acclimatization test the salinity (salt level of the aquarium) and the water in each of the shipping bags, as each bag may be different. Make a note of these test results. We recommend putting small holes into the invert bags and floating them in the main aquarium allowing water to slowly mix through the holes over a minimum of 4 hours, and it can be more depending on the difference in salinity values.
