Horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus).
Horseshoe crabs are large sand dwelling Arthropods, and not actually true crabs. They eat Bristleworms, shelffish and seaweed from the sandbed. They are easy to keep in captivity, and can live a very long time. Juveniles grow quite quickly.
SIZE
Typically 1” to 2”, may eventually reach dinnerplate size.
COMPATABILITY
Reef safe, but, may eat Clams. They can be kept singly, or in groups. Some fish such as Puffers and Triggers etc may try to eat them.
