Pavo damsel (Pomacentrus pavo).

One of the smallest and most peaceful of the Pomacentrus damsels. Dominant males turn dark blue with a yellow tail. Females and sub-dominant males are a very pleasing light sky blue, with small electric blue stripes on their face.

From half an inch to 2”.

COMPATIBILITY

Reef safe. If mixing with other damsel species stick to the larger and tougher species of the Chrysiptera genus such as Talbot’s damsels and Yellow tail blue damsels, or some of the smaller species of the Dascyllus genus such as Black tail humbug damsels, or Carneus damsels. Also can be mixed with the Neogylphidodon damsels such as the Oxyodon damsel. Best kept in pairs or groups. Safe with almost all other small to medium sized reef fishes. As with any small fish, large predatory fish may try to eat them.
