Big ass blue knuckle hermits! WARNING This species grows large.

A medium sized species of hermit crab, that is safe with all corals. A great way to add variety and life to your reef aquarium. May attack smaller inverts.

CAUTION!

This animal is generally safe with larger fish, but, may eat or damage small fish, and/or eat or damage some or all corals. They are generally great in big fish only systems, but, can often also be kept in refugiums and/or sumps, where they do a very useful job. These animals can be kept in refugiums or sumps. They make excellent clean up crew for areas of your system where food etc may accumulate where your other clean up crew cannot get to it. This helps to keep a system clean, meaning better water parameters for the display too. It also gives you the chance to keep something cool that you can’t keep in your main tank.

SIZE

Typically 1” to 2”, may be up to 4”.

COMPATIBILITY

Safe with all corals, and will not bother fish. May bully very small hermit crabs, or very small snails, safe with all other inverts. Avoid housing with large predatory fish that may try to eat them.
