We are now open Sundays again! I know this will be a popular move with many of you. A little while back we started getting so busy on Sunday’s in store, and at the same time the Sunday night live videos also took off and became a huge part of our web business, as people loved being able to watch the live video and the buy online what they had seen in the video. Eventually both became so busy that it was impossible to do both. With a heavy heart one had to go. So we took the decision to trial closing Sundays allowing us more time to concentrate on the live videos, and see how this worked out.
The results
After testing this for a few months we discovered that not opening Sundays made it very tricky for a lot of you to get to us. We also discovered that the extra time we had available didn’t make it any easier to do the live videos really. That by their nature they have to be a chaotic affair, or, at least they are with me organising them! So instead we’ve decided, that we were wrong and actually the Sunday visits were critical for many of you. We also found that most people watched the live video at a later date rather than live anyway. So let’s try a new plan.
New Sunday opening hours
So Sunday openings are back, and we’ll be doing them from 12 Midday until 6pm every Sunday going forward. Yay!
But, what about live videos?
Well there is good news there too! Sunday night was a day we sort of ended up with by accident, and wasn’t really the ideal day for it. We found that some people liked watching the live video to see what they wanted to add to their order coming that week. As the emails to arrange delivery currently go out on Monday night / Tuesday morning, then we reckon that a Monday night live will work better for you. You can have a look through all the current stock and as we sometimes get extra corals on a Monday morning, this will give you the perfect chance to see all the newest and latest things to tempt you just before you confirm your order.
But, we also knew that some of you liked to watch the live video to see all the latest arrivals. As the vast majority of our stock arrives Monday to Thursday, we shall also be doing a 2nd live video on a Thursday night to show all the very latest and hottest new arrivals, and give those keen eyed die hard fans like yourself, the opportunity to get very first grab on all these beauties. There’s got to be some extra little treats for all of you that do so much to help us, which is always very much appreciated.
Double lives!
Yep that’s right! It’s going to take a little reorganising at our end but, both are planned to start in the next few weeks.
What times will the live videos be?
Well that hasn’t been decided yet, but, I think that’s probably something for you to choose rather than us. So we’ll be running a poll over the next week or two to find out what times are best for you. Whatever time gets the most votes, will be the time we start it! Well, probably a few minutes later than the actual time, because all of you that know me will know that punctuality, isn’t really a thing for me. :D
Open 24/7?
However all though store opening times are changing, don’t forget that our website is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It’s not just an online store either. There is a huge amount of stuff available online, including tons of advice, photos etc. Now the website is huge at 2,300 pages in total, many of which are very long, and over 7,000 photos and videos! As you can imagine finding your way around that can be tricky. I’d definitely recommend using a desktop pc or laptop for ease of navigation. If you do use a phone then make sure you check out these 5 key parts of the website which will make your life far far easier!
