Banded pipefish (Dunckerocampus dactyliophorus).

A popular and easy to keep species of pipefish. Will eat most small frozen food such as Copepods, Cyclops, small Mysis, etc. Ideal for small to medium sized ref tanks. Can be kept in Nano tanks of 50 litres or more.

SIZE

From 4” to 7” on males and 4” to 6” on females.

COMPATIBILITY

Reef safe with all corals. As with most small fish, large predatory fish may try to eat them. Best kept singly or as a pair. Any two will generally pair up, they don’t have to be opposite sexes. Can be kept with most other Pipefish species too.
