Dwarf pipefish (Doryrhamphus excisus).

A popular and easy to keep species of pipefish. Will eat most tiny frozen food such as Copepods, Cyclops, etc. Due to their tiny size the amount of food they need is tiny, so they can usually easily enough find their own food, with no additional feeding required. Ideal for nano tanks.

SIZE

Typically 1” (juvenile) to 2” (adult).

COMPATIBILITY

Reef safe with all corals. As with most small fish, large predatory fish may try to eat them. You can keep 1 pair of Dwarf pipefish per 100 litres. Any two will generally pair up, they don’t have to be opposite sexes.
